Outreach work

Pro Centre Finland carries out professional outreach work. This means that you can meet our workers in your own environment: on the streets, in parks, in bars, in massage parlours, and on the internet.

Our outreach work unit has a place in Kallio area, where we can arrange healthcare and other services.

Our workers can give you information about improving your health and about other life options. It is entirely your choice to discuss these. You can get to know our workers in your own time and you do not have to talk about your needs or anything you are not ready to discuss.

The outreach workers can also guide you towards the right services. Our workers are there to listen to you, and if you aren't already using the services you are entitled to and need, they can work with you to help you find those services and show you how to use them.

If necessary, the worker will come with you to deal with officials and to make sure that you receive the services you need, whether they are to do with livelihood, integration or interpretation. For example, if you have no income our workers can explain how you can receive income support benefits.

You can discuss and deal with our workers completely anonymously. We do not enter your personal details into any register. Confidential documents that you may show us or which are copied for possible visits to officials will be destroyed as soon as they are no longer needed.
